LISA O'DELL
HEAD OF JAZZ

Head of Jazz

I trained at CDC for 5 years, in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, ballet and tap as well as assisted and taught classes.

My passion for dance was uplifted be the welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Throughout my time at CDC I found myself to excel across all styles not only by training within them but also having the opportunity to teach as well.

Having the opportunity to be a student teacher during my time at CDC was beneficial for so many reasons, helping with my confidence, finding my own way of moving & creating, it is also so rewarding to watching the other students progress. In addition I had the chance to choreograph many award winning solos, duets & trios for very high standard competitions for dancers of all ages. Alongside this I also acted as an assistant choreographer for CDC competitive teams for 2 years.

I have now graduated Addict Dance Academy with a 1st class degree. I am so excited and grateful to be running the jazz programme at CDC. Whilst I am following my dreams to become a professional dancer and performer I still have a massive amount of passion for teaching and choreographing and love having the chance to share this passion with CDC.

CDC, and more importantly Stef, has helped shape me into the person and dancer I am today. I am blessed for all the support and courage i have received. CDC is more than dance it’s family.

Hello, my name is Tilly and I am 12 years old. I have been at CDC for 3 ½ years and I have loved every second of it. I have been learning ballet since the age of 4, but coming to CDC gave me the opportunity to learn so many more styles. I am currently studying contemporary, jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap and acro.

I am in Undefined Dance Company and I love dancing in such a supportive environment with some amazing dancers. I love assisting in classes because it is so inspiring to see all of the students improve.

I recently started teaching, and I enjoy it so much. It is such a privilege to see other dancers learning my choreography and finding their own way of moving. CDC has given me so many opportunities and I have participated in competitions and conventions across the UK including Wales, London, Manchester and Somerset.
